Medable is an emerging leader in the pharmaceutical industry shift to decentralized clinical trials, making trials accessible for everyone everywhere – and enabling effective therapies to reach patients faster. When the company first hired Barbadora INK and its partner Big Valley Marketing to support its burgeoning communications efforts, it had under 100 employees and a marketing department of two. Now, Medable’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform has been deployed in more than 60 countries via more than 150 decentralized and hybrid clinical trials. Medable experienced record growth in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic drove demand for remote and hybrid trial technologies. Over the last year, Medable launched five new products and onboarded more than 50 new clients, growing revenues by more than 400% while expanding its ecosystem to accelerate digital and decentralized clinical trial adoption.
Over this same period of time, Medable’s share-of-voice skyrocketed with the help of Lisa and her extended team. In January 2020, the company was averaging .5 published stories a month. One year later, it averaged 17.5 placements a month and by June 2021 was averaging 25 a month – blowing past our budgeted target of 8-10 per month. The total reach (potential) at Medable’s June 2021 peak (driven largely by Business Insider 65.6M and Forbes) was 143M. Barbadora INK and BV have helped the company win a dozen industry awards including the PharmaVOICE 100 two consecutive years, PM360 Annual ELITE Awards, and Reuters Events’ Pharma Awards USA 2020. They have also secured hundreds of industry interviews and dozens of speaking opportunities in some of the pre-eminent events, including Fierce forums, DIA Global Annual Meeting, and, most recently the Prix Galien USA.
