Evolve IP
At the beginning of this decade, there were a string of natural disasters including hurricanes, earthquakes, global flooding, droughts in the Midwestern US, and month-long wildfires. These impacted the U.S. in many ways, and one of the most startling ways was how it affected businesses who were reliant on landlines and physical connectivity to maintain operations. Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast hard in 2013, but served as a wake-up call to the business world as 74% of small business owners in New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut were forced to close their doors. Evolve IP had a cloud-based telecommunications solution, and was one of the first to market. The company, which now has 1500 enterprise customers globally and serving 350,000 users, engaged with Barbadora INK to get on the map. We put together an extensive media plan and started with economical long-form blog entries. This inexpensive first step soon led to media coverage as Barbadora INK ensured that each blog was written not as sales pitches but as insightful, helpful articles that addressed industry trends and customer challenges – especially the growing fear of how to recover or prevent disaster from impacting their businesses.
Over the next five years...
Barbadora INK wrote more than 10 customer case studies, dozens of news announcements, and a series of blog entries that the media picked up and ran with to develop their own stories – helping Evolve IP secure coverage as a thought leader with a reliable solution to a growing and alarming industrywide challenge. Here is one of the first blog stories and a case study.
